We had a very good meet this past weekend for Champs. Of the 12 events we swam in we medaled in 4 (top 6 places) and ribbon-ed in 7 others! We had some great time improvements and our team represented themselves very well. Drew was also awarded 4th place in the 9 year old boys penthalon representing the 4 best over all swimmer in his age group! Great Job Drew! Lindsey also deserves kudo's for gritting it through a very tough schedule and doing well despite a hand injury that made swimming very painful.
I am so proud of how our swimmers performed all year round, but to see these two athletes giving their all despite their injuries really says alot about their heart and determination. This has been a very good first season everyone, we did get alot accomplished this year, to do this well our first year has really been quite an accomplishment.
As a reminder there is no team organized practice for the remainder of this month other then what has been arraigned through Lindsey to cover for coaching. I look forward to seeing many of you at the end of season party!
